SexualSide Effects and Treatment
Worried about sex after treatment? The good news is you can still have sex if you’ve had surgery to remove all or part of your prostate. But some medicines and procedures can cause side effects, including erection problems. Ask your doctor:
Is this treatment likely to cause sexual side effects? If so, what are they?
How long after the procedure do they last?
Do they usually go away on their own? If not, what can I do to improve them?
Are these sexual side effects ever permanent?

Sexual side effects aren’t the only side effects you may experience. Treatments may also affect how your urinary tract or digestive systems work. Talk to your doctor so you know what to expect and to find ways to cope.
