The single best NBA season by a Blue Devil came early in the decade
when Grant Hill averaged 25.8 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 5.2 APG, and 1.2 SPG in
2000. Third in the league in scoring on the year, Grant joined Kobe
Bryant, LeBron James and Tracy McGrady as the lone NBA players to
average 25+ PPG, 6+ RPG, and 5+APG in a single season this decade.
*Blue Devils in the NBA will combine to make $82,010,274
in salary this season, an all-time NBA record for a college
alumni group. Seven Duke alums will earn $6 million or more,
including three Devils in the eight-figure range.
*13 Duke players were selected in the NBA Draft during
the decade.
*On NBA opening day this season, Duke and UCLA were
tied with the most alums in the NBA (14).
*A total of 24 different former Blue Devils played in the NBA
during the decade.
