Vocabulary - Seven Weeks on an Iceberg
Students will be able to match vocabulary words to their correct
meanings after doing the activities in the flipcharts.
This a simple game based on the board game Taboo. You can use it
for teaching/learning vocabulary.
Look Say Cover Write Check

method for developing sight vocabulary - particularly useful for
irregular spellings. Customise with your own spelling inputs.
Build a Word
Using the Activboard and Activprimary, students assemble words by
arranging various letters on the flipchart page. Students create words
given pre-assembled word endings or listen to words delivered by the
teacher. Great fun for younger students to increase phonetic
awareness, vocabulary and word building.
This is a fun vocabulary development game based on being quized
on categories beginning with a letter.
Prefixes, Suffixes, and Roots - Putting the Pieces Together
Putting word parts together, students understand and acquire new
vocabulary to use in reading and writing. This flipchart uses several
self-checking techniques that will engage students to build and
understand prefixes and suffixes.
