The Default Position
Vision Supplies Ltd have been supplying Chim 92 screen cleaning
chemistry and machinery exclusively into the UK market for over
7 years. Throughout this period the company has benefitted from
a steady increase in the sales of both chemicals and machinery
originally manufactured by the Lyon based company.
Neither Vision nor Chim 92 could have predicted just how successful
their range of products would be, nor could they have predicted the
number of companies that would purchase equipment from them in
what has lately been a fairly depressed European economy.
Over 35 machines are installed worldwide, many of which are in
Europe, but with Vision now distributing the machines and chemical
products in Australia more are on the way to the other side of the
world. They are about to ship their fourth machine to Melbourne
closely followed by another machine to be delivered to the UK in
January, a very busy start to the year for the company.
Chim 92’s ‘M’ range of screen cleaning machinery has rapidly become

improvements to the “conventional” way screens are cleaned within
their business while reducing costs, man power, time and also
ensuring that the environmental impact of this process is contained

well documented in this publication.
To simplify their process, non oil based chemical products are applied
to the screens at high pressure, these products are then filtered and
recycled within the equipment. The ink and stencil are fully removed
within one section before chemical anti-stain products are applied in
the following sections. A final high pressure rinse with water allows
the screen to exit through the integrated heater unit for drying before
exiting the equipment.
By using the M3 or M4 models in excess of 95% of the frames will
require no further treatment before being reused, so applying
chemical anti-stain, activating solvents and degreasing agents is more
or less eliminated by using the Chim 92 system.
Recycling the used chemicals means that very little waste is mixed
with the rinsing water, reducing the COD levels of the water which is
then discharged to drain and well within most industrial consents to
discharge. Unlike conventional systems waste chemical products are
discharged automatically into recyclable containers for disposal, Chim
92 machine chemicals are VOC free and low odour adding further
operator benefits to the process.
