Dear fellow traveler:
Roots are important. During the “Studebaker Years” of the company, Arthur Sr., his
wife and his children were “The Company.” Their customers traveled as honored
guests and often became like additional Tauck family members. As the business grew
over the years, so did this “family,” as it embraced the ever-growing number of new
employees, guests, suppliers and travel agent partners.
In the intervening years between 1925 and today, Tauck has explored the world with
almost three and a half million guests! We have grown from a New England motor
coach company to a major international travel company that serves multiple markets
and offers over 100 itineraries across 65 countries.
We are fortunate to be thriving as the fourth generation of Taucks are just starting to
get involved in the business – few family companies are so lucky.
Our success has been based on the bedrock of three interconnected factors: The first
is that we are still, first and foremost, curious and passionate travelers who are lucky
enough to make a living doing what we love to do. The second has to do with our
family values, which embrace personal integrity, creativity and a commitment to
“simply do the right thing.” And finally, we are still here today because of the
endorsement and word-of-mouth of our guests. That loyalty has driven our growth
since our humble beginnings.
We hope this book has been informative and entertaining. To understand our
heritage is to understand our commitment to quality and our quest to connect
people with the most inspiring destinations in the world.
