This easy and fun quilt starts out with a simple Courthouse Steps block, then via quilting
magic and it transforms into an impressive quilt that appears complicated and difficult but is
not. Level 1 students will simplify their quilt with fewer fabrics. Level 2 students can explore
many possibilities with the fabric collection in their “steps”.

The Windmill quilt pattern is a very old traditional quilt that is usually made using templates
and many colorful scraps. But, in this class students learn to create the quilt using speed
cutting and speed sewing techniques that make those windmill blades fly together in no time
at all. Keep it simple with 2 fabrics or keep it traditional with lots of scraps.
Instruction book $5. 5 wks
All quilting classes: Sewing machine is needed at home only. Materials cost
depends on the size quilt you make. Classes include choosing fabrics, sewing the
quilt top, adding borders, basting, machine and hand quilting, finishing the quilt edge,
signing, and dating the quilt.
