THE GOOD
Without a doubt, the greatest feature of the HP Mini 2140 Notebook is its size. This super lightweight netbook has been designed to be highly-mobile; it has a sleek and sturdy aluminum case and weighs just 1.9kg - making it the perfect choice for the business person on the go. Despite its small size, the Mini-Note has some mighty features. Its QWERTY keyboard is 92% of the size of a standard keyboard, making typing easy and comfortable. It comes with a decent sized hard drive, two gigabytes of RAM, an integrated VGA webcam and Bluetooth, which makes it possible to connect to other devices without the need for wires.
THE BAD
The Mini-Note doesn’t have a DVD drive or a firewire point - both features that many users will miss. The mouse (a touchpad and scroll zone) is a tad tricky to use because the buttons are on the right and left sides of the scroll pad, rather than beneath it. Although users will probably master this in time, it is a shame that HP couldn’t have allowed for a bit more space to make it easier to use.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The Mini 2140 Notebook is certainly impressive. As well as being very stylish, it is neat and highly-portable, making it ideal for working on the go; it is also comfortable to type on and the wi-fi is easy to use. The perfect companion for busy business travellers!
