Sky 1 series Luke Gamble’s Vet Adventures (working title) follows a vet who travels the world
treating and saving animals in need. Red Earth Studio filmed the show using the PDW-700 from
Mitcorp, utilising the tapeless workflow by logging, ingesting and doing rough cuts on location.
Connected Pictures used the PDW-F335 purchased from Gearhouse Broadcast to film fortnightly
shows around the world for steel company ArcelorMittal’s website. The system’s compact nature
allowed the crew to record commercial quality images within a documentary timeframe.
A PMW-EX1 from Jigsaw was chosen by King Productions to film active sports and travel writer
Gary King wing walking for his website. “'XDCAM EX was the right choice for the project as it
provides high definition footage yet is lightweight and easy to use,” says King.
