We’re going shopping at the
Bellagio. The casino has a Chanel shop,
Bottega Veneta and a Fred Leighton
boutique. Leighton designed a massive
collection of gemstones for stars to
wear to the 2009 Oscars. Can’t wait to
see his work up close.
11am Pulling up to the Bellagio. Men
are out front, on duty and run to open
the door of our cab. The lobby is
impressive. If you are a Dale Chihuly fan
at all, you can’t help but love the unique
hand-blown glass spread of artistic
blooms in bright green, yellow, red and
blue across the ceiling.
I secretly plot to own a piece of Chihuly
art one day since his work appears in
my favorite cities, Miami, London, New
York and Vegas.
2ish Back at The Palms. In the room,
we are now trying on all of Casey and
Jordan’s shoes, which include Manolo
Blahniks and Christian Louboutins.
They are gorgeous and I discover I wear
a size 39 in Louboutins, which are far
more comfortable than Manolos. Even
on 4 inch heels, you can dance like a
rock star. I make a mental note to dance
like a rock star tonight and Jordan says
I can wear her round toe, pearlized
dark blue pair. She is slipping her sexy
legs (which lead to demur feet) into
Cole Han, peep toe, red, patent leather
pumps.
“Anyone want to try the pool?”
That’s all it takes for us to start
muttering about wearing a bikini in front
of people especially at the hotel where
the Playboy Bunnies are known to hang
out. No worries. I have been working
this bod to get into bride shape for the
big day so I plan to flex my abs while
I walk to the bar for a fruity drink. And
yes, my abs look good.
By the pool, I really start to relax.
This is the best people watching. The
lifeguards make sure you have plush,
terry towels and if you want your chair
moved toward the sun, just say the
word. I feel sexy when the guys next to
us ask us about our day of shopping.
