London Face
Emma Pierson, actress, Islington, N1...
...plays feisty receptionist,
Anna in the hit BBC
drama, Hotel Babylon.
I'm on the way... home. I've just been
to see Cirque du Soleil at the Royal
Albert Hall. Incredible and amazing.
I live... in a top floor flat in Islington
with ninety something stairs. It's
a nightmare with the shopping but
worth it for the gorgeous roof terrace.
Actors get paid enormous
amounts... in America but not here.
What I get paid for a series here is
what they get per episode. I always
feel sorry for actors on charity 'Who
Wants To Be A Millionaire?' because
they need the money themselves.
I love being Anna... this series she
takes on a more serious edge.
And ends up hanging upside down
in a harness... so we definitely see
a different side to her.
I do get to keep Anna's shoes...
but five inch leopard print Louboutins
aren’t really ideal for Tescos.
I hate shopping... the surly
assistants, the women who think
you’re trying to steal their first born
when you’re just trying to find your
size and the changing rooms where
you have be a contortionist! If I want
a fancy dress I get it from Net a Porter.
I adore Soho... It makes me laugh
how the film, TV and theatre industry
sits right next to all the sex shops.
Mung beans are yummy... I eat
them in Satsuma on Wardour Street,
my top pitstop. For special occasions
I go to The Wolseley or Hakkasan.
I get my kicks from... dancing! The
Arts Club on Frith Street is a tiny little
rock pit where you feel like you're
backstage at a Status Quo concert.
I love London most... when I'm
walking over Waterloo Bridge. With
the Houses of Parliament on one side
and the Gherkin and The City on the
other, the view is always amazing.
