It recently launched the 'Limitless
Laroche Dinner' – for £35, you can eat
three courses from a British menu,
which includes the likes of steak and
kidney pie and rhubarb and custard,
while drinking unlimited quantities
of selected 2005 vintages from the
prestigious cellars of Laroche, which
has been producing wine in Chablis
since 1850 and now also has vineyards
in Chile and South Africa.

For those in search of the quintessentially British, old-
fashioned afternoon tea, Shipp's in Borough Market
(shippstearooms.co.uk) is the holy grail. The stylishly shabby
hotspot serves up gorgeous cakes – fluffy Victoria sponge,
moist lemon drizzle and perfect scones – on antique bone
china plates, and steaming cups of Darjeeling, Ceylon and
Earl Grey poured from retro teapots.
