Decades have passed without a strong
British presence in the Haute Couture
world but Belgravia based design house,
Saint-Hill Couture made history when
it received a rare invite to debut off-
schedule at the notoriously exclusive
Paris Couture week. Designer, Saint-
Hill and his partner, technical director,
German-born Britta von Basedow, are
the passionate duo behind the label's
exquisitely beautiful creations, which
are painstakingly hand stitched and
embellished for anything up to 1,000
hours. The results can only be described

The 'Flying Fish' gown:
Dusky mauve-pink changeant
silk chiffon lined with silk satin,
with boned hidden corset,
bodice scattered with smoky
topaz Swarovski crystals and
sculptured shoulder piece.
