Article Submissions
Do you wonder where many of the topic-based articles that appear in Connections come from each month? They are culled from submissions made by CCC members just like you! We encourage you to submit an informative article on your area of expertise. For more information, please contact Managing Editor Lisa S. Cohen at (617) 876-4132 or lcohen@cambridgechamber.org.

Young Professionals
The CCC is always looking for new ways to develop our future workforce and community leaders. The chamber has started a new initiative to empower and activate one of the untapped resources of our community— the young professional. A committee of young pros has been tapped to take part in the early stages and planning of this programming. If you are between the ages of 20 and 35 and interested in learning more, contact the Chamber at (617) 876-4100.

Member Celebrations
Is your company moving to a new office space? Are you looking to do a grand-opening or ground-breaking? The CCC can help you mark your milestone event. Contact Kelly Thompson Clark at ktclark@cambridgechamber.org.

Nominate members for Business Awards
We are thrilled to announce that the annual Excellence in Business Awards will be moved back to the springtime and we are currently accepting nominations for this highlight event of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce year.
Each year the CCC presents the Excellence in Business Awards in celebration of the achievements and community involvement of Cambridge businesses and organizations. Exemplary members are recognized at a gala banquet.
We encourage you to nominate the CCC members you feel make a difference in our community, in the categories of New Member of the Year, Small Business of the Year, the Leading Edge, Corporate Citizen of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year and the Carl F. Barron Business Person of the Year. Self-nominations are acceptable and encouraged. View the criteria and submit nominations at
www.cambridgechamber.org/chamber/news_awardnom.html.
This year we’ve modified our award presentation procedure a bit. We will continue to have three finalists in three of our award categories, New Member of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year, keeping the winners confidential until the awards are presented on the night of the event.
In the remaining three categories, Corporate Citizen of the Year, The Leading Edge and Carl F. Barron Business Person of the Year, we will instead name the winner prior to the event. As in past years, a group of members will be selected randomly to take part in the voting process. Subsequently, an Award Subcommittee will assist with the process and selection of all winners based on the votes.
Please keep your eye on the Chamber Message Service where we will announce the event date and plan to join the CCC Board, membership and staff at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge as we announce the winners, as well as celebrate all of the finalists and the excellence, achievements and community involvement of the entire Cambridge-area business community.
Thank you to lead sponsor Amgen and supporting sponsors Microsoft and Cambridge Trust Company.
